If you have your own blog then you will probably want some traffic from the Search Engines especially if you want to monetize your site. This technique can help your site or post get indexed by search engines much quicker and it is really simple to do.

What I am talking about is pinging your blog and if you have no idea what this is, don’t worry all will be revealed. If you write a new post on your blog, how do the search engines know that your new post exists? Well they don’t unless they happen to crawl your site regularly but by pinging your blog you are letting the search engines know that you have updated your blog and would like them to crawl your site.

This helps enormously in getting indexed by the search engines and can happen in as little as 2 hours. If you have a wordpress blog, you don’t need to worry about pinging as your blogging platform does this for you. If you use a different blog platform you could use a pinging service such as pingoat or pingomatic and they are really easy to use.
